Hey mom!! 

I'm crunched for time today im sorry. So dont get mad! :) 

The reason im crunched for time is cause i had to go to the dang doctor all this morning! i had a bad infection cause of my ingrown stupid toenails so i had to get shots and get it cut out again! it sucked hard core. hurt bad. but i hope its good now. 

Im doing good though and everything is going well. About the scriptures: i want blue small separate scriptures. the case will fit them. if it is possible i need them soon cause we read a talk that said you learn a lot more when you start out fresh with new scriptures because all your markings arent there... so if i get new ones they can last my whole mission ya know? so that would be awesome. ya i will try to look for khakis on my own i can find some. 

Here in Mississippi it is awesome it is such a beautiful city. Black people are so much nicer than white people! ive gotten the door slammed in my face way more by the white people! its rough. 

Story of the week: Me and my companion were driving down the road when i looked over and saw this girl about 25 years old she was sweeping up something off the ground and it looked like a huge pile. We drove by a little bit when the spirit hit both of us so strong, at the same time we both looked at each other and we knew we had to go help her. We turned around and headed back to the parking lot where she was at. Turns out she was handicapped and was out of her wheelchair cleaning up glass from her broken back window of her car that somehow broke! i got out of the car and i said can i help you? and she said no. But i wouldnt let her say no, i said no i love doing serve can i help you pick this glass up? she said its alright. But i took the broom from her and helped her anyway. She was to proud to let me help but i know she appreciated it. We tried to see if we could come back and teach her but she didnt seem interested. But at least we helped!

My first baptism is this saturday, name is Chris, 14 years old. Pretty dope! I am also looking to get brown shoes sometime here soon i am looking today. But things are going well. Hope the kids had an awesome birthday! tell them i love them! I love you guys too. sorry i cant email very long cause we have an appointment with a part member family soon! we have 5 baptismal dates set, so 5 baptisms coming up in august! love everyone! love jesus!

Well things are going great here i got my new companion Elder Clason! we get along real well and have fun together. He is training me for 3 months so i will be here for awhile! But tell dad that He needs to cheer on OLE MISS. Because Oxford is the city that OLE MISS college is in! and members have already told us that they are going to take us to games! it will be awesome! So my first day i got here i ate catfish! it was weird but other than that this whole week has been pretty normal food.

 

I Got to tell you a funny story... So me and my companion are out knocking doors and we are in this heavily populated black comunity... they are everywhere! So i knock on this door and this black dude, shorter than me by like a foot opens the door. I am like " Hey we are representatives of Jesus Christ and we were wondering if we could leave a prayer with you today?" and he says " Yeah! i am in need of a prayer! i am sinning right now." i started laughing so hard! haha this was my first investigator out in the field, his name is Matt and we are progressing with him. So when we were saying bye, we asked if we could come back and he said " yeah, i will be sinning then too, there will probably be a girl here...naked." he was dead serious when he said this stuff. Ah man it is sure a whole different world down here. So take advantage of Rexburg cause it is an awesome place.
 

We have some rich members out here! we ate at there houses! And they love OLE MISS! There are so many black people down here, it is awesome! we always try to talk to the black people because they are the nicest! white people tell us to leave every day! Today me and my companion went mountain biking! it was fun except that i bent the back rim on my bike! it kinda sucks. So maybe see if they can send me a new one off warranty? i dont ride it ever cause we have a car but ya. It is so freaking hott here it isnt even funny!! they made the new availabile pants to wear on missions now... it is that khacki color! so if you find some that are like skater ones id like some:) just not the real khackis that have all the pockets and stuff. But i also need to find some brown shoes. Anway tell the babies happy birthday! i am sending them an awesome present today they are going to love it!! i miss them and i miss you guys a lot. Anyway things are going great here! i forgot my camera at the apartment so i will send pictures next week! also for christmas or something sometime, ive realized it is so much better to have seperate scriptures, so not the quads for studying. So sometime i want the seperate small kind that would be awesome.

Everything is going good, there are some crazy people here and lots of students. So tell dad his new favorite team has to be OLE MISS! and let me know the scores of the games! Love everyone! and hope the babies like my present i spent good money on it!!

Leaving MTC and arriving in ARKANSAS

Brayden left the MTC today at 2:30 a.m. To catch his flight to Arkansas. When he landed he was able  to call us! He said he was in Texas! He is so happy and loves his companion and everyone in his district. There was 23 missionaries traveling to the Little Rock mission crazy. He said he would be in Little Rock around 1:30 or so our time. He is excited to start this journey and we will update his address as soon as he finds out where he is going. He loves hearing from everyone so please send him a letter.

HE MADE IT!

We received a letter and these pictures from the Arkansas Secretary along with a letter from Pres and Sis Peterson saying he arrived safely and he is being taken care of. Can't wait to hear where he got sent and who his new companion is.

MTC P-day

Hey mom!

My companions name is Elder Jardine. He is awesome we are like best friends. We teach so well together. All we do in the MTC is have class all day, study all day and eat... 16 hour days of pure learning. It is the hardest thing ever but for some reason i love it. I love my distric we are all best friends in the time of 2 weeks we have had together. I am going to miss them when we leave tuesday morning at 2:30 AM!! yeah we have to wake up so early to catch our flight on tuesday. It is crazy we have been at the MTC for only 2 weeks, because with all the knowledge they pack into us it feeels like an eternity we have been here.

 

Elder Jardine and I have been givin 2 investigators while in the MTC. One is our teacher acting like an investigator, but it seems so real it is crazy! we have struggled with her but we know she is testing us and giving us a hard time on purpose to help us learn. Our other investigator is Doug Simpson. The MTC accepts Volounteers to come in and act like investigators to help us practice. WE love Doug, he is so acceptive to everything and keeps all his committments and really wants to know. Later tonight i am going to ask him to get baptized so it is a big deal! i am praying he says yes. Today is our full p day. we do not get to go to the temple in the MTC cause it is closed for cleaning.

 

Dont be sad mom im doing great. I am glad you got the pictures! everyone loves my ties by the way;)

 

I cant believe dad put the topper on! im sure everyone misses me haha.

Hey there mommy!

 

 

 

 

 

Mommy! hey today is my half p day so i get to send an email! I want you to know that you guys drooped me off at the wrong MTC but so did other elders so we had to take a bus to the west campus, but it is way better here!! first i gotta tell you i was waiting for and expecting like a package bigger than my head for the 4th of july but there was nothing there! haha jk. But anyway the mtc is awesome!! i am having such a great time! i recieved the best companion and we get a long so good! we are pretty much best friends already. He is from plesantgrove utah. I am feeling the spirit so much here. Me and my companion just recieved an investigator, which is role play by our teacher, but it feels so real! So me and my companion got to know Sarah and had to decide what to teach her. We have been studying and asking in prayer for some things to teach her about and have recieved some sweet answers. We have found so many good scriptures. I have only been here 3 days but it feels like weeks cause the days are so long! today i wore my camo tie and people are loving it. on the 4th of july we got to watch the fireworks and stay up late it was cool till we had to get up early in the morning. Anyways i love it and it has been really good. I am going to try to send pictures... not sure if it will download.

The Day has come....MTC or bust

Brayden entered the MTC today at 12:30. He was so ready to go.... we are so proud of him but we already miss him.... If you see the little puppy in his backpack, he made sure he took something from Camden and Brynlee.He wanted them to see the puppy in his pictures and to remember each other. He is the best big brother, thinking of others before himself! Can't wait for his first letter :)
