A Bomb lesson

Hey there, ho there!
So the baptisms that we were planning on didnt quite happen this week, they just were not quite ready. She had to do some more work on quiting smoking and the kids needed more time to learn the gospel so we pushed back the date a little bit. But we are still working with them and helping them change! Specialized Training went well, Elder hadlock and I had to teach on the Doctrine of Christ for a little bit and then the assistants and President taught the rest. It went really well. We are super excited to go to the temple on Wednesday, and to go to the Memphis side for a little bit!
This week we had lots going on with exchanges and meetings and stuff, it was a busy quick week. Sunday we had the Weavers come to church but they dipped out after a little bit. We taught the dad afterwards and threw down with him that he needs to stop smoking and drinking and that he needs to be baptized by authority! It was a bomb lesson. Both of us were bold as crap. We hope that they will change. The Mom loves it and so do the kids, we just need the dad all the way on board. Why are men so stubborn? haha.
The Zone is doing well, we are looking at 12 this month for baptisms. We are really excited for february though, there are a ton of dates in February.
Well i hope that all is going well back in the burg besides robbing and killing. That seems like nothing anymore after living in the South for almost 2 years haha. But in Rexburg that is like the world is ending! Signs of the Times!!
I just want to thank you mom and dad for being awesome parents, i have realized how great you were and i pray that i can be a parent just like you when i grow up;) thanks for all you do!
Love you- Elder Nielson

Poopy water

Hey Mom,
This week was great! We had a lot of blessings. We had 10 investigators to church which is dang good. We were super excited about that. We are teaching 2 families of 5, and they all came. Trenstin saw great blessings in getting a job, but it now takes away us being able to see him. So that was a bummer but we are still trying to work around his schedule. We met his older brother yesterday and we are going to start teaching him as well. We set a date for baptism with him right on the doorstep. They are both so cool, they both have this huge afros and tattoos. We are planning to baptize 3 people this weekend. We have been teaching this family. It is a single Mom with 5 kids. 2 of the Kids are baptismal age so we are baptizing them and the mom. Her Name is Katrina. We are getting them interviewed this week so we hope all goes well.
This upcoming week we have Specialized Training and then the next week we get to go to the temple as zone leaders! That is going to be so sweet! im excited. Also this week the other elders had their toilet flood at their apartment and poopy water was all over the carpet! haha it was so gross but funny all at the same time! So it was good for us, "poopy" for them. Thank for the support. All is well here. Just Trucking along. Hope everyone is doing good and seeing great blessings. Always be thankful! Love yall

Pine Bluff best place ever

Hey There!
We were supposed to get bad weather this week... But prayer works. So we
had 8 people planning on coming to church and there was this hear of a
storm coming. So we had the whole Zone pray that it would not effect our
zone and we would have church. So we did and in the morning it was just
raining a little bit and we ended up having church! 5 of the 8 came and it
was a great Sunday. We met this guy earlier this week named Trenstin. He is
the most solid person i have ever taught in my life! he is so prepared. We
gave him the book of mormon and when we came back the next day he read to
first Nephi 8. He told us the whole story of what was going on and he
related it to himself... i thought he was a member for a second! He is 20
years old and has just been prepared by the Lord. he is so tight. He loved
church and is planning on being baptized soon, it all came from us knocking
on his door cause the house he was staying at was huge! haha. good week. we
are teaching like 3 solid families so things are looking great!
We have just had lots of miracles this week so it has been nice! Elder
Hadlock and i are staying together another 6 weeks we found out this
morning, so we are excited for that. I was really nervous to leave Pine
Bluff, i love it here so much, it is the best place ever.
Nothing much crazy happened this week just working, we had our zone meeting
that we instructed on and that went really well, things are good in da
hood!
Yes i got the package it was great, let her know i appreciated it! Yes i
got the card, just waiting for the pin.
Thanks for alll you do and for who you are. Love yall so much. Thanks for
the support.
Have a great week! Love Brayden!

Bullets are flying

Dear Mom,
Our New years was good! So the thing down here in the South is at Midnight
to go out on your porch and shoot guns in the air to welcome in the new
year... so we heard lots of gun shots that night, pretty crazy! Probably
not the smartest thing to do cause the bullets still have to come down
haha. This week was long, we did lots of driving. We did baptismal
interviews in Camden and monticello. Also had to drive to Little Rock
during the week. Lots of driving. We haven't spent a lot of time in our
area so it was a little slow this week in trying to get in to teach people
and get them to church
Yeah everyone is
going their separate ways! But its all good, time is flying and soon we
will all be the oldies. Nothing much else happened this week, i know that
this is kind of a boring update but we just did lots of running errands
this week. We are really hoping that this week will be better and that we
will see some great things happen. Hope all is well at home and i hope that
everyone is staying warm! I miss the snow... the south's weather is stupid.
One day sunny the next day cold, but never snows! Anyway, hope yall have a
great week! Love you.
