Burning legs

Dear Mommy,

Well i am Hecka well! This week was tough, we were on bike week and little rock is literally the hilliest place ive ever seen! My legs constantly burn. I am getting worked out. I guess that is good. It is a little different than BMX. I taught Elder Johnson this week to bunny hop on his bike so that we can go faster by jumping up curbs and not having to slow down! My Companion is pretty cool! I really like him, he has a very cool story about why he is out here. He was like ranked in the nation for one of the best long distance runners and he sacrificed a lot to be out here and i think it is the best! So we get a long real well. My district is doing good, i have 2 sets of sisters in my district.... so all sisters... this is gonna be great, one set lives with another and i just wait for the day when they call me and they are having a cat fight! haha

Those shoes just had a whole in the heel. Yeah i dont know what i am going to do about turning 19, that just seems weird. Crazy how time flies cause almost a year ago i turned in my papers. I am glad that the kids still remember me and that they miss me. I miss Camden and Brynlee like crazy. They are gonna be way to grown up when i get home.

In the next few weeks we should be having a baptism so that is exciting. Things are going really good. District Meeting is tomorrow and i am not sure what i want to teach... so thats dumb. Anyway, things sound like they are going well. Don't worry about my truck and you driving it i am not obsessed anymore over it so its all good. Well thanks for everything you do! Thanks to everyone, and anyone who reads this blog, thank you and if you ever have time, my mailbox has been pretty empty lately just so you know ;) haha. Love all you guys and miss you very much! Love Elder Nielson.
p.s. sorry i forgot my camera cord so no pictures this week... dont hate me :(

**I don't hate him because I received these pics from one of the other Sis Missionary moms today! (your lucky Brayden, Sis Missionaries are better at taking pictures :)
Lori Ashby Goudie's photo.
Brayden said they went on a hike to Pinnacle Mountain (he said it was a hill compared to any mountains in Idaho)

Cat Fights

Hey Mommy,
So yep i got transferred to Pinnacle Mountain area, which is basically close to downtown little rock. It is totally different than Oxford that is for sure! So many people and cars and apartments everywhere! But you have the same kind of people, so that is good. My Companion is good, we are doing good work. I am training him, he has been out 6 weeks so i am finishing his training. I am not sure why president wants me to keep training. I am also district leader... ahh i thought i would get away from that responsibility, and it is over 2 sets of sisters which is worse! haha I might have to break up some cat fights or something. So yeah that is my life right now, we are staying in the old AP apartment so it is a huge apartment. We live right next to the Spanish Elders so we get to mess with them and steal their stuff and things, it is fun.
Thank you for the pizza and the candy thing! i loved it... and so did the spanish elders, they ate lots of it.
This week we had like a miracle week. Both Elder Johnson and i are new to this are and we did not know some of the members to get them out to teach with us. But we had appointments with these single ladies and we knew that we could not go in and teach without a member. So we set out to teach them on the doorstep. We went and taught a black lady named Zetti on the doorstep and committed her to be baptized, she liked it and i hope she continues with it. Then as we left we get a call from a member that was at home doing nothing and was seeing if we needed any help. We said heck yes! It was a miracle cause that night we set 2 other baptismal dates and had some great lessons.
Yesterday we also set a baptismal date with a guy named Aaron King. We were talking to him and he said he named his kid Phat.... haha so his name is Phat King! haha it is awesome! We are having a lot of good things happening in this area so that is good!
So you liked what i recorded on the recorder? That is awesome!
I heard that Hadley is going to school! That is awesome, i hope to hear from him soon!
Well all is going well here, the picture of me holding the dog was one of our awesome investigators that had this mean dog that after he starts to like you he will wrestle with you and let you pick him up, so that is what i did! He is a great dog! Lots of fun!

Breanna's Baptism

Breanna was baptized on Saturday, Brayden was transferred on Wednesday so he was unable to attend. I know he was bummed he missed it but was so excited for her decision to become baptized. He knows she is the reason he stayed in Oxford for 7 months, he was needing to find her.

Finally being Transfered

Hey Mom,
Well this morning i got the Transfer call... so i am officially leaving Oxford. Stayed there for 7 months, which is a long time. I leave on Wednesday. I am a little sad that i am leaving cause we have a Baptism this Saturday that we worked really hard for! And i am going to miss it. But all is well in Zion!! Breanna is getting Baptized which is awesome! She was interviewed by President on Saturday and she is getting Baptized this Saturday! She is awesome, she is like the perfect investigator, she actually reads when we ask her to, she prays and she has come to church 3 times in a row! It is awesome. She is super ready.
This week it snowed as well! it is nothing like Idaho snow but it snowed like 2 days this week. I keep thinking that i am not in Mississippi! it shouldn't snow here! And it has been pretty cold.
Ok so check on the recorder, i put my recordings on folder B. Mess with the settings and get on folder B.
Yeah i am a little sad i am leaving but at the same time it is time for something and somewhere new. The Ward here is awesome and i will miss them like crazy. It was a lot of fun here.
This week one of our other investigators Chasza, he is a Big Black guy and he is a Barber. We met him on the square, i asked him if he would cut my hair. So this week we went to an all black barber shop, it was awesome! He cut my hair and it was like a black hair cut, it is legit! Then i invited him to church this week and he came and he loved it! So i am super excited about him. Well i just have a few more days in Oxford, but i will come back after my mission for sure! This place is sweet. Well hope all goes well and i hope that everyone is doing good. Thanks for everything that you do for me! Love you. Love everyone that reads my blog and i appreciate all of the support! We will see where i end up, love jesus! Elder Nielson

Finding the one

Hey Mom,
Yeah weeks are flying by, today is 7 months for me...
Yeah we had a pretty good dinner with Wes and his Girlfriend, it was great. We had a pretty good week. Breanna came to church again this week which is great! I think that she was the one that i needed to find! We have taught her everything almost which is great! District meeting this last week was pretty good, i hope that i inspired them.
Psh I dont know about being a great example, haha.
Yeah i heard that the superbowl was lame. Do you guys just use that cardboard cutout to scare people away?? haha
Yeah i also got the bag and i got the vial, the vial is sweet! it is so nice!
Today i am sending the recorder home, i recorded some stuff idk how good it is though so hope that you like it!
Next week is transfers, i am thinking i am leaving but i am not sure, we will see what happens. So wish me luck, i hope all goes well for you! Thanks for everything.
Love Elder Nielson.

p.s. i might need some new dress shoes soon, my ones are falling apart. See if there is any brown ones that are comfortable. Thanks mom!
