Don't worry about me

Hey mom,

Things are going good here. We had a little rough week but it was alright. We had an investigator to church, her name is Breanna! She is so sweet, she liked church and said that she wants to come back. She has a baptismal date for February 15th. Transfers are coming up on February 12th, i am assuming i am being transfered since i have been in Oxford for 7 months but i am not sure. We will see.
I am trying my best to get along with my companion, it has been rough. But all is well in Zion!  Haha We had a good time me and Elder Brich on Exchanges, we had this lady pray for us while she was driving the bus! haha It was great!

Sand Volleyball

Hey Mom,
Sorry we couldnt email yesterday since it was a holiday. We got permission to email today. Things are going good. Not as good as last week but we are still working with our investigators that we have and things are going well. I am getting a little tired of oxford but i love the ward and everything. I am not sure what is going to happen at transfer time. Yeah i received the Hold To The Rod Statue for memorizing 42 scriptures. It took me 6 months but i did it haha!
Grandpa fell on the ice huh? thats rough. Yeah i received that package and i loved it. The fudge was so good. I went on exchanges in memphis and the Zone Leader that came to oxford had some and loved it.
Yeah i got your letter and i went to walgreens and got the medicine. I was gonna ask if there was anything i could take. I think just the humidity down here or something my face wasnt used to and it just went crazy. But it is getting better now.
So i decided that i would like if you sent me that side bag. I realized that i need it for my meetings to carry all of my books. So if you still have it i would like it:) oh and i was wondering if i could get one of those wood consecrated oil key chain things. My last one broke. So yeah...
Nothing to funny happened this week. Except there are just some funny members out there. The computer here will not let me send pictures so sorry about that. We had a fun pday yesterday playing Sand Volleyball with Wes Medial! It was great. Love all of you guys and hope everything is going good!! Love Jesus!

Saving Lives

Hello Mommy,

It has been starting to get a little better. Elder Brich and his companion are doing well, the new guy is from Las Vegas. He is pretty cool but he acts like he still is in high school with the whole texting stuff and talks about twitter and all this new stuff i dont even know about haha! He is a great kid but is living the high school glory days!
This Week has been pretty awesome. We found some pretty solid investigators this week and have been teaching them, it is nice to have people to teach for sure. We got 3 investigators to church with us this week which is really good! One is a part member family, the other 2 are our investigators John , and Joseph . They are awesome. We have Baptismal Dates With both of them. John for the 25th of this month and Joseph for February 1st. So we hope all goes well, we are praying hard!
Interesting Story about Joseph is that he lost his job and house and is homeless. A church in Oxford got him a room at a hotel for 3 days so we visited him there. We had a good lesson and i invited him to be baptized, i always invite people to be baptized the first lesson we have with them haha. So then he calls us a couple mornings later and i answer the phone. He tells me that he is done with life and that he was going to kill himself. So i was like WOOAAAHH! this was crazy. I was pulling out scriptures and reading them to him over the phone and then telling him that we loved him and that he would hurt a lot of people by doing that. He told me that he had just taken some pills and he was calling to say thanks for all i had done for him. all he kept saying was "im done man, im done." it was crazy. I told him to think hard about what he was doing and think if it was worth it. Then that is where the conversation ended. For 3 days i was convinced that he was dead. He then calls Sunday Morning Out of the Blue! He Tells me that what i was telling him really hit him and that he was thankful for me that i saved his life.... i was like... alright. Then i asked if he was ok. And he said yes. And then i was like, well do you want to come to church with us today? and he said yes so we got him a ride to church! Just another day of work as a missionary saving lives! But no it was crazy, talking people out of suicide is no fun.
Funny Story: So just yesterday on the way home from church, i was speeding and got pulled over. It has been a goal of mine ever since i became a missionary that if i ever got pulled over i would talk to the cop about the gospel! So that is exactly what i did! It was a lady cop, she took my license after i told her were speeding to get to an appointment. She then comes back and says to slow down and it was just a warning. So i said, "Can i give you a card real quick?" and she told me yes and i just started to talk about the gospel to this cop that had just pulled me over! haha i talk to EVERYONE. It was so fun, i found out she was Catholic.
Well i will try to get something recorded soon, hope everything is going well at home. Love everyone a ton. Love Jesus.

John (wife hates us mormons)

Hey Mom,

So things went pretty good this week, we talked to A LOT of people. Had a really good lesson with an investigator named John. I found him while walking down his street and felt like i needed to knock on his door. He answered the door smoking and drinking and we talked to him for a bit and then prayed with him. We were really persistent with him and kept going back. We got a member to come out with us and he let us in. We taught the Restoration and he liked it. He said he has been thinking a lot about where he can find the truth. I committed him to read and pray and he said he would. He said nothing would stop him if this was the truth. Not even his wife that hates us mormons. So that was really cool!
Yeah Elder Brich received a new trainee, he is pretty cool. Things have been going well this week and i hope that things continue to go well!
Right now it is 10 degrees outside, and with the humidity in the air it is like freezing cold when the wind blows at you. It is a storm that is coming through that is coldest they have ever gotten i feel like. 2 weeks ago a tornado touched down about 20 minutes from us! haha lots of wind and crazy things happening that day.
Things are going good here, lots of workin and stuff. Thanks for the package with the books and food, apprieciate it! Love you mom. Thanks for everything from everyone! Love Jesus.
