Same ole same ole

Hey Mom,

This week was a tough week, but that is alright. Paul is doing good. Our lesson at Presidents House was good. We taught the plan of Salvation and he liked it alot. He is reading the Book of Mormon and is taking it slow. He was not for some reason able to come to church, so that was a bummer. He will not be able to be baptized this Saturday. But we will keep working with him and will continue to help him progress.
I can't believe that the house is up for sale! I am excited! I sure hope that it sells and that we can find a cool house in the country.
That is crazy that Dallas Crane got his call here, that is sweet! I will have to ask and see if i can train him. That would be awesome! Um tell him to know his Book of Mormon... he is gonna need it. And the main scriptures out of the Bible.
Nothing much else is exciting here, just same ole same ole. I am kind of hoping that i leave this next transfer but i am really not expecting to. But things are well. We went to the mall and i saw these Oakley Glasses. They were legit, they were eyeglasses and they were grey and green. It made me want another pair of frames. I think i might be resorting to glasses because it is so expensive to keep getting new contacts while i am out here and they are just bugging the crap out of my eyes with the pollen and the sweat that drops into my eyes haha. It is tough being a missionary! so i am gonna have to look into that. Any ways i hope all is going well! I hope that everyone has a great week! Thanks for the package mom! i loved it! Love yall! Throw down on him

Dear Mommy,
Our week is going great!! We found a solid investigator named Paul Tucker.
He is so legit! We were walking through this apartment complex and he was
sitting on the step and we started talking to him. We didnt think anything
of it but when we went back he liked us talking to him and he actually
called us for another appointment. We taught him at the church on Friday
and then he came to Church on Sunday and was telling everyone that he likes
the book of mormon and how it tells him to pray. He is awesome. WE are
teaching him in President Petersen's home Tomorrow. We are super nervous
but excited because President is going to throw down with him! We are dang
excited.
I have the best parents in the world. I can't believe it. You are being so
blessed while i am out here, it is crazy. You don't know how much you love
your family until you are away from them. Things are going really well.
This week we had an area 70 and a member of the 70 come and teach us at
Zone Meeting! Elder Kopishke and Elder Merideth came, it was sweet!! IT was
a really good week!

Mother's Day

It was great to see this handsome boys face on Mother's Day. We had a hard time working Skype, but with the help of some great neighbors we got it working. We had our family, grandma Nielson and Brayden's friends Hadley and Kaesi over. It was great hearing his stories and being able to see his facial expressions :) he looks exactly the same and he still has his sense of humor which I love. Below is the letter we received the following day.

Hey Mommy,
Yeah it was good to see all of you guys too! i am glad that everyone could make it. It is always awkward when we run out of things to talk about haha. The kids are getting huge! I cannot believe that they are going to school in a few months! That blows my mind.
It was awesome that president was able to talk to you, i love that man. He is the best mission president ever. He is so cool to just chill with at dinner, then he drove us home and he was telling us great stories. But Everything is going great! We are rockin it down here. Well ive got to go, but it was so great to talk to you! Love you, Elder Nielson

Tornado clean up

Hey Mom,

Nope Elder Rushton and i are staying together. We were not sure if we were or not so it will be interesting. This week has been a long week, nothing went good for us which is never fun, but we ended up being able to do service for the tornado victims. Our ward was assigned to an area that wasn't hit as bad as the other areas, yet it was still pretty crazy. I have never seen anything like it. Where we were cleaning up was so close to the members house that we did service for, it literally was down the road a little further. The tornado just leveled houses and trees. It up rooted trees that were 80 feet tall. Cleaning up was a whole bunch of cutting and moving trees so that it doesn't look too terrible. Lots of work. All of it just blew my mind!

Yeah so that is crazy, Max Fye was in the Oxford ward. I knew their family was moving to Rexburg, she got a job working at BYU-I. Small World.

Investigators are a little down, it seems that we always baptize our solid investigators then we have to start all over. So we are in that phase of the work right now... finding, yaay!
The package was great and the shirts fit really well so thanks mom!
Elder Rushton... We get along most of the time ya know? Just like all companions, when you are around them for 24 hours constantly you get sick of them and annoyed with them super easy haha. So that happens every once in awhile haha. Yeah so we keep on finding these knocked over signs and we just take them to our apartments. We are on a streak! haha.
Today we got back late to email because i finally went to the temple... it has been 10 months since i have been to the temple! Long time. I was super nervous to go but it was really great! So we just got back, long drive to Memphis.
Yeah so i guess i am staying here in Pin Mtn. and am still district leader. That is 5 straight transfers (71/2 months) of being the district leader. Crazy.
So this sunday the plan is that we are going to our ward mission leaders house to skype. We should call about 4 o'clock here, so that is around 3 in Idaho. So expect the call around that time. Hopefully i figure out the information right this time to call you. Also right after that we are eating with our ward mission leader, and with President and Sister Petersen which is pretty exciting! Yeah i really hope that kaesi and hadley can come it would be good to see them! Make sure they are invited!
Well i hope that all is well back in the burg, i bet our house is the coolest house in the neighborhood with all the cool cars! haha i bet it is lots of fun! Thanks for everything! See you in a week! have a good one! Love Elder Nielson
