Baptism X 3

Why Hello there, 

I am doing really good today! The weather was looking pretty bad last night it was raining ice but it ended up not sticking so we are able to email. This morning Elder Hadlock and I found out we are staying together for another transfer in Pine Bluff! We are dang excited. That means i am staying here for awhile, another 6 weeks! I love it here. 

Yes! This week we Baptized the family of 3! Their Names are Katrina, Natalie, and Rodney. They are so awesome! The other elders also baptized this guy named RP who is paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Elder Hymas, Elder Cunningham and I had to all 3 be in the font and carry him in there. Then cunningham said the prayer and we all kind of squatted and dipped him under. it was such a cool experience and he loved it! Needless to say Saturday was a really good day! Then Sunday all 4 of them were confirmed and given the Holy Ghost. This weekend, 9 people were baptized in the zone which was great! I am excited to see who we get transferred into the Zone, and see if we can continue to get things rolling. That is awesome that Ashton is having a fun time playing on that basketball team, 100 points seems like alot! haha, they must be killing it! 

 It is so crazy that all 4 of us in Pine Bluff are staying another transfer. Elder Hymas has been here for 7 months already, we are all excited to stay and see things happen. Ice Storm

Whats up! 

Well sorry that i wasnt able to email monday or tuesday, we had an ice storm that hit us pretty hard on monday. We were not allowed to go out so we just sat at home for 2 days pretty much... it really sucked. And the funny thing is that the ice we got compared to the weather in the west is nothing. But people here in Arkansas really suck at driving on ice so it is them that you have to be careful of. Our valentines was really lame. Just a normal day and we didnt want to bug a bunch of people on V day. Happy Late Valentines to you Mom! Sorry it has been a few days. I did end up getting the package from amazon, i think that is all that came. 

Things are going really good here. Tonightour Family of 3 is getting interviewed for baptism, we are excited and nervous for them. They are planning on getting baptized this Saturday. We hope and pray that all goes well. Their names are Katrina (the mom), Natalie(11), and Rodney(9). We have been teaching them for awhile, they are ready they just need to make the commitment and follow through with it. 

Last week one of our District leaders in the Zone was released out of the blue for something so we had to go clear to Arkadelphia to go and teach their district meeting. Luckily our GPS finds the best way to places and took us on these crazy dirt roads in the middle of no where to get there. It was fun and it was a good meeting so we hope all goes well. 

Next week is transfers, neither of us are quite sure if we are staying or going or what so it will be a surprise. I want us to both stay if we can, but i am not sure how it is going to go. 

this week we took some awesome pictures downtown, Elder Hadlock needs to send them to me and then i can forward them to you. Hope that you have a great week! thanks for everything. Tell the kids that i will be home soon and i will shoot the basketball with them and jump on the tramp if they really want me too! haha.

All is well

Mmm..yellow! 

I am doing well mom! No need to worry about me. Just so you know i am keeping some stories away from you just so you don't worry about me! haha. its just a missionary thing. No but really i am doing great, not to many worries as a missionary, just worried about the people we teach. 

I am glad that Ashton did good in his talk. 

Yeah the weather here is really nice too. It has been in the 60s this week. just perfect sprig weather. All i am saying is that Global Warming must be real!! Cause this aint normal. But i am ok with it cause that means there is more people outside ready to talk to us ha. 

Yeah i do hear from some of my friends, not a lot of people have been writing me lately. I hear from some of them every so often.

My companion is awesome! We get along really good. We have some of the same interests and things which is always good! He is the youngest in the family, his parents are on a mission in Washington. he is into cars and dirtbikes and stuff so it has been good! 

Yeah so we are having some baptisms hopefully coming up on the 21st. We are working with these families and getting them ready and prepared. We hope that they are ready by that point. thanks for all the help and support mom, you are doing great no worries!

Nonsense

Man, Man, Man

How is it going? Our week was good. Lots of driving so it made it go by pretty darn fast. Tuesday we had to drive to Monticello for District meeting, Wednesday we drove to Little Rock and then all got in a van to go to memphis for the temple. It was awesome! good day at the temple and then the leadership meeting right afterwards. then drove all the way back to Little Rock, then to a city called Arkadelphia to work with some missionaries there. Then Thursday afternoon we drove back up to North Little Rock to go to Elder Hadlock's doctors appointment, then back down to Pine Bluff! Lots of driving, and not a lot of time spent in our area. Our Investigators are doing alright, they are just struggling keeping commitments and things. And Sunday it rained... which does not seem like a big deal to me, but apparently people down here melt in the rain cause none of our investigators came to church! Ugh it is frustrating. But then while at Fast and testimony meeting i think that God knew that people would get up to bare their testimony and say some crazy things, that is why our investigators didn't come haha. In the whole hour of Testimonies 6 people got up... everybody talked so much about nonsense and didn't even bare their testimony really! it was crazy ridiculous. 

So Rexburg seems like it is going a little crazy right now! Holy cow! I have never even heard of that stuff happening there. That is even crazier that all that happened within a week or so! Wow. 

This week we kind of got into a prank war with the other Elders in Pine Bluff, needless to say we are winning right now. We have 1- found their car at their recent converts house and put a whole bunch of stuff on top and in its way so that they couldn't drive without taking it off. 2-Found this rap CD on the side of the road and put it in their CD player in the car and turned it all the way up so that when they turn on the car it just blasts the music haha. 3- This one was one of the best, i unhooked the little hose that sprays water back into the toilet after you flush and we put it facing the toilet so when they flushed it would squirt at them for awhile! hahah it was so funny! Been a good week needless to say haha.
